The different types of training available

1. CAP Plasterer-Plasterer

• Duration: 2 years after the 3rd.
• Audience: young people or adults in the process of retraining.
• Objective: traditional plasters, plasterboards, partitions, false ceilings, insulation, plan reading and security.
• Where? CFA, vocational high schools.

2. Bac Pro Building Development and Finishing (AFB)

• Duration: 3 years
• Audience: post-3th or holders of a CAP.
• Advantage: versatility finishes (plastering, painting, decor) + construction site organization and quality.
• Where? CFA, technical high schools.

3. Pro/CQP Plasterer titles

• Duration: 3 to 9 months depending on organizations.
• Audience: adults in retraining, temporary workers, companions.
• Advantage: accelerated control: installation of plate systems, joint treatment (Q2→Q4), coatings, acoustic/thermal performances.
• Where? AFPA, GRETA, private centers specialized in construction.

4. Technical manufacturer modules (staff, decorative coatings, acoustic systems)

• Duration: 1 to 3 days per module.
• Audience: plasterers, plasterers, team leaders.
• Advantage: good product practices, high level finishes, resolution of pathologies (cracks, appearance).
• Where? industrial plates/coatings, distributors pro.

5. Security certificates & clearances

• Contents: scaffolding (assembly/use), Working at height, SST, AIPR if interventions near networks.
• Advantage: access to more construction sites (ERP, height), increased employability.
• Where? authorized organizations, OPCO, companies.

6. Alternation

• Advantage: rapid increase in skills (pace, aspect checks) + remuneration.
• Compatible courses: CAP, Bac Pro, Pro/CQP titles.

7. VAE/Continuing education

• Audience: experienced plasterers/plasterers.
